The transfer from Fabio Silva to PSV is no surprise, because the Portuguese was already in the stands at the league match against Vitesse last weekend.
At Anderlecht, Silva scored 11 goals in 32 games in the first half of the season. The Portuguese started the season quite well, but then faded away. In the past week it became clear that he wanted to leave the Purple & White. Now he can finish the season at PSV.
“Fabio is a versatile attacker who can play in several positions up front,” says general manager Marcel Brands. “He gives us extra opportunities and we are very happy with that.”
Silva himself is also delighted with his new employer. “Young talent gets the chance to develop here,” the Portuguese responds. “In addition, I can learn from Ruud Van Nistelrooij, one of the best strikers ever.”
PSV hires Silva from Wolverhampton until the end of the season, where he still has a contract until 2026. Two and a half years ago, the Wolves took him over from FC Porto for 40 million euros. In England he could not yet make his mark.
