Justin Bieber has sold the rights to his entire discography to Hipgnosis Songs Capital, a music rights company, in a deal valued at 200 million dollars. With 291 songs transferred to HSC, the Canadian becomes one of the youngest artists to release advantage at your work.

Bieber rose to fame with his song ‘Baby‘ in 2010, part of their first album ‘My World’. The ‘single’ got more than 300 million views on YouTube, proclaiming the 16-year-old as one of the superstars emerging of the decade.

After more than 14 years in the industry, the ex-partner of Selena Gomez has decided to sell all his songs and collaborations part of his music catalog. Although you no longer have the rights, it will continue to be managed by Universal Musicwith whom the singer has been all these years.

Billion-dollar backed Hipgnosis Songs Capital is run by music mogul Merck Mercuriadisalso founder of Hipgnosis, another music rights company that has two billion dollars invested in musical agreements since 2018.

Mercuriadis has defined the acquisition of Bieber’s music as “one of the biggest deal ever made by an artist under the age of 70, with a catalog that has nearly 82 million monthly listeners and more than 30 billion streams alone on Spotify”.

To date, Hipgnosis has reached agreements ranging from full catalogs to partial rights featuring celebrities like ShakiraBruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Justin Timberlake and Neil Young.
