According to the Iranian authorities, the objective of the detainees was to take revenge for the failure of the attempt to destabilize the political situation in the country.
More than twelve “terrorist groups” affiliated with the Israeli government were detained in Iran, advertisement this Tuesday the country’s intelligence minister, Seyyed Esmaeil Khatib, quoted by the Mehr agency.
According to the official, the objective of these groups was to take revenge for the failure of attempts to destabilize the political situation in Iran. At the same time, he stressed that the Iranian people showed unity, which helped maintain order in the country. He also stressed that Tehran will face its enemies to defend its security and national interests.
In December 2022, four people accused of having links to Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, were executed in Iran.
