Kylie Jenner, 25, is currently in the capital of fashion, Paris. Fashion week is in full swing there, and Kylie makes sure to make a big appearance.
Earlier this week, Kylie faced criticism when she appeared at the Schiaparelli show in a dress with a fake lion’s head on it.
Inappropriate, some animal lovers thought – but the organization PETA thought that Kylie’s clothing choice was great, something that TMZ reported at the time.
But the lion’s head isn’t the only head-turner Kylie Jenner has donned on the runway this week…
Kylie Jenner wears Givenchy noose necklace
On Tuesday, Kylie stepped out in an electric blue dress, pink sparkly boots and a necklace from the French fashion house Givenchy. The necklace is a so-called “noose” necklace, i.e. a noose.
Already when Givenchy first showed off the necklace in 2021, it was met with massive criticism as it resembles the nooses slaves were forced to wear around their necks.
That Kylie now chooses to wear the necklace is something that has sparked outcry and outraged voices on social media.
Kylie Jenner faces criticism on social media
Some reactions on Reddit and Instagram read:
“It’s so fucking disgusting”
“This woman has black children. It’s so disgusting. It’s not okay to say ‘she probably doesn’t know’. She needs to know”.
“To use this two years after it was shown on the catwalk, when her stylist knows how people feel about this…it’s a CHOICE. A really disgusting choice”.
“It’s not just a necklace, listen. It’s not that. It’s a stark reminder of the brutality and horror that black people were subjected to by white people.”
“She has black children, tone deaf and ridiculous”
Even on Twitter, Kylie faces criticism for her choice of necklace.
