Respecting a tradition, the Adema-PASJ presented its best wishes for 2023 to the press on Saturday January 21. It was during a ceremony held at its national headquarters and chaired by the president of the party. In his address, Prof. Marimantia Diarra said that the party is preparing for the next elections and insisted on respecting the timetables.
Like any other observer, the head of Adema recalled that the year that has just ended has been trying for the country both in terms of security and socio-economically. Despite the upheavals, he appealed to the patriotic spirit of everyone for a sacred union around Mali at the start of this new year which he wishes to be peaceful and prosperous. “The difficulties we have faced should lead us to be more united”, he said.
With regard to the life of the party during the year 2022, President Diarra indicated that it will have been mainly marked by the publication of his assessment of the management of the State between 1992 and 2002, the celebration of the 31e anniversary of the advent of democracy in our country. According to him, the serenity of the holding of these activities as well as the density of the contributions gave hope to the militants and sympathizers. Also, the President welcomed the progressive and correct implementation of the resolutions resulting from the 6e ordinary party congress.
Referring to the security issue essential to any development, Marimantia Diarra condemned the barbaric and terrorist acts perpetrated against the country. To counter them, he hailed the efforts made so far by the Transitional authorities to restore peace and create conditions conducive to the holding of the various looming elections.
In this year 2023, qualified as decisive, Adema says it is preparing and has already begun deep reflections to meet the deadlines within the framework of a “great political and electoral platform”. To this end, the president of the party invited the highest authorities of the country to accentuate the fight for the rapid restoration of the authority of the State throughout the country. This, so that the elections can be held in good conditions and on the dates indicated.
