This Tuesday, January 24, TV dayswith Rosa López on the set, has revived the final of the first edition of Triumph operation. That February 11, 2002, the talent show produced by Gestmusic gathered 12,873,000 viewers and achieved 68% Compartirfigures that today would be unthinkable beyond the most important football broadcasts of the year.

To properly analyze the phenomenon, the program presented by Julia Otero featured Tinet Rubira, director of the company responsible for the music contest and one of the architects of the format’s success. The Catalan journalist recalled the difficult beginnings of WOwhich did not come to the fore until the fourth gala: “It was total madness. The program went beyond the program, it was a social phenomenon and it was on the street.”

“But if someone says that this was a success from day one, they are lying,” Rubira wanted to make clear, adding: “In all the history of WOthere are things that the people who have worked on the program do not tell”. Right after, Tinet has made reference to David Bisbal and Chenoa, perhaps one of the most notorious couples (and breakups) of that time.

“It happened to us with the love story between David Bisbal and Chenoa. They liked each other, they loved each other, we saw that there was something and such, but obviously neither they said anything nor did we. This was a pact that we had “, explained the director. However, the team laid a small ambush in the form of a song: “I remember that Naomi [Galera] found the song hiddenwhose lyrics were a bit of their love story”.

“When David and Chenoa began to see the lyrics… What if ‘hidden’, what if ‘just you and me’… It was the story of a furtive love. They were very discreet, but they said that they were making them sing something that completely betrayed what was happening there.”Tinet Rubira has recognized, who has gone on to comment on other anecdotes from that first edition.
