Photos.  Giant tortoise sighted on the coast of Jalisco;  biologists safeguard 90 eggs

Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco.- They locate a giant 1.3-meter turtle known as a lute on Mayto beachin the Cabo Corrientes municipality in Jalisco.

The turtle that nested in the place was located by biologists from the Mayto Tortuguero Camp, dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles.

“Our team of biologists and staff from the camp were patrolling to collect nests, when we found this female coming up on the beach,” they said.

The turtle laid 90 eggs, the experts managed to collect the nest and relocate it to its incubation penthey calculate that hatching will occur in 60 days.

Initially the turtle had not been able to nest, however, after a second attempt it succeeded, a summons held by the Mayto Tortuguero Camp that described it as a “great way to end the week of Volunteering”.
