Netflix announces the start date for German “Too Hot to Handle” – it only takes a few weeks

It’s about time! Considering that there are already numerous dating and flirting shows on German television, Netflix has so far focused more on productions in English-speaking countries. But the fans in this country are hot and so one of the most popular formats is finally coming to Germany.

The German offshoot of the Netflix series “Too Hot to Handle” will start shortly, as the streaming service has now solemnly announced. And one thing is already certain: soon all of Germany will be talking about this show. Even celebrities like “Let’s Dance” juror Motsi Mabuse become weak.

German “Too Hot to Handle” will start on Netflix at the end of February

For those who haven’t seen a single episode of “Too Hot to Handle” yet, we’ll briefly explain the rules of the game: Ten adults take part in the dating game show. They spend four weeks together in a house and have to overcome various challenges while being strictly forbidden from any intimacy. Kissing, sex and even masturbation are forbidden, which is why the series is also known in this country under the title “Finger weg!”. The problem: The candidates are usually people whose relationships have never lasted or who repeatedly engage in meaningless affairs.

Incidentally, the show is not moderated by a celebrity, but by a virtual assistant named “Lana”. It is not yet known who the German participants will be. “Hopefully a few new faces will join in,” wishes a fan. Only the start date for the first season is certain: the German offshoot will be available on Netflix from February 28th.

There is great anticipation under the announcement on Instagram. Even “Let’s Dance” star Motsi Mabuse excitedly linked her make-up artist under the post. Will the two watch the episodes together in the future? Quite possible. From February, one or the other group of friends should meet up for joint Netflix watch parties with champagne and snacks.
