The theft happened outside of the Collins & Stone Funeral Home on Saturday, according to police. The vehicle reappeared in Chicago Sunday night, but to the shock of the dead’s family, the body was no longer in the hold. It was only on Monday afternoon that she could finally breathe a sigh of relief: the stolen body was finally discovered in another place in the city – four kilometers from where the hearse was found. The police have since identified a suspect. She released photos of an as yet unidentified man dressed in black and wearing white gloves. She asked for leads on the alleged thief. The man is wanted for stealing a car and disturbing the peace of the dead. It is still unclear whether the perpetrator knew that there was a body in the vehicle when he stole it.
