Carina Edlinger won gold in the cross-country sprint over 1.2 kilometers at the Para World Championships in Östersund. With this, the woman from Fuschl expanded her collection of medals at major events.

Great success for Carina Edlinger! The 24-year-old won the gold medal in the cross-country sprint over 1.2 kilometers at the World Championships in Östersund, Sweden. Together with her guide Tobias Eberhard, the woman from Fuschl won ahead of the Germans Linn Kazmaier (+0.98 seconds) and Johanna Recktenwald (+22.31). Edlinger’s collection of medals from major events was thus expanded again. In 2017 and 2019 she had already won four gold and one silver and one bronze. At the Paralympics, the ace was top once (2022) and third twice (2018, 2022). Edlinger has already celebrated four victories in the overall World Cup.
