Fabio Silva says goodbye to Anderlecht: "Without a doubt the biggest club in Belgium"

Fabio Silva has been missing from the Anderlecht squad in recent matches and the departure of the Portuguese seemed only a matter of time. Now the striker has made it official himself with a message on Instagram.

“I am very grateful to this beautiful club and the supporters. They believed in me when many doubted me,” Silva begins. He was loaned to Anderlecht this summer by his English club Wolverhampton.

Silva is also very full of praise for his teammates. “Thank you for all the support and for all the beautiful moments on and off the field. Real friendships have emerged.”

“Everyone here has made it possible for me to be happy again. To get back to doing what I love most. Thank you for helping me grow as a person and as a player.”

“To the incredible fans: you supported me and the team, even if the results were not always what we hoped for. I am now also a supporter of this great club, undoubtedly the greatest club in Belgium,” he concludes.

Silva is linked to PSV in the Netherlands and the official announcement should not be long in coming. In total, Silva played 32 times for Anderlecht. He scored 11 times.
