When a carnival guild invites you to a ball, those who are interested almost inevitably assume that they have to wear masks and costumes. In the case of the carnival guild EI-LI-SCHO from Rufling and their court ball, this could catch the eye.

“Our court ball is an elegant ball,” says President Hannes Seemayr. Since 2010 it has even been held on two evenings due to the great demand. This year, this is the case on January 27th and 28th, when the Kürnberghalle in Leonding becomes a ballroom from 8:11 p.m.

Although the court ball only takes place every four years, this year it celebrates its return to the calendar of events a year later. Because the corona pandemic did not allow him last year. The 13th court ball comes up with dance and show interludes, the “Condors” are responsible for the music for the dance. Admission is from 7.11 p.m., tickets are available from the Citizens’ Service of the city of Leonding. Info: www.eilischo.at

By the way: The next carnival parade will not be for another two years. The procession and court ball continue to alternate every two years, as is traditional. (rgr)
