Fertagus tickets will become more expensive in 2023. The company that operates the trains between Roma-Areeiro and Setúbal, crossing the 25 de Abril bridge, decided to apply an average increase in fares of 6.11%, the maximum limit defined by the Mobility and Transport. However, in some sections, the increases are higher than the average.
An example of this is the Lisbon-Corroios route: from the 1st of January, you will pay an extra 20 cents for a trip, which will cost 2.50 euros – the increase is 8.7%. Later on, the ticket between Lisbon and Coina will cost 3.70 euros, 30 cents more than currently – the increase is 8.8%. From one end of Fertagus to the other, you will have to pay 4.85 euros for the Lisbon-Setúbal trip, 25 cents more than currently – the fare rises 5.4%, below average.
Fertagus ticket tariff for 2023
Fertagus price increases include pre-purchased tickets for 5 and 10 journeys. However, there are prices that have been frozen: this is the case of the ticket for 10 trips between Lisbon and Setúbal, which in 2023 will continue to cost 41.10 euros.
To escape ticket increases, it is necessary to subscribe to the Navegante Metropolitano or Municipal pass, which will continue to cost, respectively, 40 and 30 euros in 2023. This pass gives access to all means of transport within the entire metropolitan area of Lisbon or within one of the 18 municipalities in the region. The Government determined the freezing of prices, under the family support package. Transport authorities will receive compensation from the state.
