Five weeks have already passed since the start of the World Cup. The start of this year’s racing season was a bit – how best to describe it – bumpy. The ÖSV men’s team struggled with bad luck with injuries before Sölden and received a beating from the media after a mixed performance. The weather then threw a spanner in the works for some organizers, which meant that the women were only able to start the season in Levi last weekend. There, in addition to the top athletes, there were also some newcomers who really challenged the ÖSV runners. Before the races, head coach Thomas Trinker said they would be competing for victory. However, the euphoria was followed by disillusionment. During the interview in the finish area, he then spoke of unacceptable performance. Not a very good choice of words, I think. Acceptance would actually be the basis for constructive further work, right?
