Unidas Podemos has shared this Friday on their social networks the first reception that they have given to Irene Montero in her office at the Congress of Deputiesafter the confrontation with Vox throughout this week.

Surrounded by her colleagues, visibly moved, the minister received a bouquet of flowers that her family had given her after spending one of her worst weeks since the start of the legislature.

“Everything we do, we make it possible because we are a party, because we are an organization and because we are a collective force“, shares the minister with hers.

The phrase hides a nod to Yolanda Díaz, engaged with the Minister of Equality for among other things renounce the political parties to stand in the general elections.

“Nobody resists alone, we all resist together. What happens that one day give face to one and other times to others”Montero points out, to which they respond with a “yes you can with Irene.”

This same week, the minister canceled an act of Podemos in the Region of Murcia in which she was going to present the candidates for the municipal and regional elections. The reason was none other than the “brutal campaign“of harassment to which she is being subjected because of the law of the only yes is yes and the pressure of Vox.

“Thrilled for the support”

This is stated by the regional coordinator of Podemos in Murcia and deputy in Congress, Javier Sanchez Sernain a letter sent to the militants where she denounces that this campaign seeks “her dismissal as minister and put an end to all the advances of the Ministry of Equality.”

The federal co-spokesperson also alludes to the criticism that Montero has suffered during the processing of the General State Budgets, mainly from the Vox bench: “What we experienced yesterday in the Congress of Deputies crossed all the red lines, with some personal attacks that seek to destroy the person“.

“Irene is moved by all the support received, but also affected by the magnitude of these attacks,” she says in the letter.
