Furrowed eyebrows at the German Masters snooker. David Gilbert stepped away from the table in the deciding frame after a painful miss on black. However, with a score of 56-1 and a lot of red balls on the table, that was far from over. An action that surprised opponent Andy Hicks.

3-2 in frames and 55 points behind. Admittedly, things didn’t exactly look rosy for David Gilbert.

The English snooker player had a tough pot at the German Masters. When an easy black didn’t disappear in the pocket either, Gilbert’s patience ran out.

“The Angry Farmer” – his nickname clearly not stolen – stepped up to his opponent and shook his hand. End of game, much to the surprise of Andy Hicks, who briefly counted the red balls on the table.

The consequences don’t just stop with a loss of face for Gilbert. He also faces a fine for breaching the disciplinary code.
