Malian Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maiga made his first official appearance on Friday after several months of absence due to a health problem.
Maiga was put on forced rest by his doctor after 14 months of tireless work, the Primature announced on August 13 on his facebook page.
Rumors swirled that Maiga suffered a stroke.
Visibly in good shape, the Prime Minister declared, on leaving the audience, with the President of the transition that “his state of health has improved today and that is the reason for his presence in Koulouba”. .
“I would like to greet and congratulate the President and his entire team for the colossal work that has been done over the past four months, which have been very difficult for the authorities,” he continued.
On August 22, the transitional president of the Republic of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goïta, appointed Colonel Abdoulaye Maïga as interim Prime Minister during the period of absence of Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maïga.
