Already on December 1st, Russian esportsmen will go to the IESF World Championship 2022. Before the trip, the FCS of Russia managed to talk with one of the athletes – Vladislav Chambi Khoroltsevcaptain of the Dota 2 team.

– Vladislav, what are your expectations from the upcoming tournament?

– I think that if it were not for the replacement, we would definitely be able to fight for the TOP-1. The replacement will be a little more difficult, but I think we can handle it. There are only three or four really strong teams for the entire tournament, so we are not afraid. In general, I am glad that every year the tournaments are getting bigger and bigger. I am sure that in 5-10 years e-sports will not be on the level of football or hockey in terms of popularity.

– How well do you know your opponents in the tournament?

– In our group there are quite strong teams of Poles and Bulgarians – both of them have experienced players. I can also single out teams of Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Peruvians.

– What is the main difficulty you will face in the tournament.

– There is none. We are a little scared only by the replacement in the team, we are not afraid of the rest.

– What, in your opinion, is the difference between such tournaments and club tournaments?

– I think that at this tournament the level of play will be slightly lower than at the main world competitions. But this is the only difference. In terms of atmosphere and level of organization, I think everything will be fine.

– Do you follow any other sport besides esports?

– I love football and follow it. Before, I even did it myself.
