You are currently viewing Guillaume Genton, extremely wealthy and very spendthrift: he "was banging so much" he got in trouble…

Guillaume Genton has no taboos about talking about money and has proven it once again. This week, the 31-year-old columnist and entrepreneur is featured in the magazine Audience (edition of November 25, 2022). And he did not hide the fact that seeing his bank account full at one time made his head spin.

It was in 2015 that Guillaume Genton launched his first production company called Genton Productions. Since then, the number has risen to seven, a subject he raised during an interview for Technikart last September. “I started by selling small subjects to NRJ 12, C8… After that I started making documentaries and streaming programs for France Télévisions, Canal+. Then, in 2019, I set up Kennedy Agency, specializing in 3D design for shows, graphic design, augmented reality… Here we work with Amazon, Netflix, Endemol, TF1. I also have a communication box for businesses, Blondinet, and a music publishing studio, La Gamme, specializing in music for television. The idea being to fully control the production chain“, he confided in particular.

In addition, Guillaume Genton officiates as a columnist in Do not touch My TV since the end of 2020. And this year, he joined Virgin Radio to host the morning show in place of Manu Payet. His Morning without filter, he shares it with Diane Leyre and Fabien Delettres. The public therefore quickly understood that their daily lives are more than busy. “Finishing TPMP at 9:20 p.m., I go to bed around midnight… and get up at 4:30. So I go out less. It’s a sacrifice, but it’s a childhood dream come true“, he admits to Audience.

Guillaume Genton without taboo on money

Very quickly, Guillaume Genton understood that he wanted to set up his companies and today he works with around a hundred employees. A business that allows him to be very rich at only 31 years old. In TPMP he has already revealed that he sometimes spends several “tens of thousands of euross”. A statement that was not unanimously accepted.”When you earn minimum wage while you work hard and someone says they get 20 or 100 times more, that generates frustration. Money divides our society. When you earn a lot, you have to spend it, redistribute it and have the decency not to brag about it on social networks“, he continues to Audience.

He then assures that he knows the value of money because, when he arrived in Paris, his daily life was very different. “I lived in a 6 square meter and I earned 480 euros per month. I had two euros a day to feed myself. I was just eating a double cheese at mac do. I know the value of money. But when I started earning money, I spent it all, even more. At 20, I was banging so much that they cut off my electricity“, he confessed. If he has already confided in the past that he was always so spendthrift, we imagine that since then he stops before suffering the same fate.
