50 Russian servicemen released from captivity Interfax with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“The released military personnel will be delivered to Moscow by aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces for treatment and rehabilitation at medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the military department said in a statement. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not disclose any details of the exchange, saying only that the Russian military had been returned “as a result of the negotiation process.”
A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the release of 35 soldiers. The Ukrainian side confirmed the fact of the exchange, saying that it managed to return 35 military and one civilian from captivity.
