By the end of the shelf life, inevitable changes accumulate in the product. For example, the potential of active ingredients is gradually reduced, natural oils burn through, which can spoil the appearance and smell of the texture, she explained in a conversation with “Gazeta.Ru”.

Also in cosmetics, the development of pathogenic microflora can begin, which can provoke various diseases. Some substances secreted by microbes can cause burning, redness of the skin and mucous membranes, up to allergies.

“That is why, taking into account all the factors, the use of expired cosmetics – both care and decorative – should not be allowed in any case,” the expert warned.

Earlier cosmetologist, dermatologist Tatyana Ballirano in an interview with FAN advised to moisturize the skin in preparation for the winter season.
