The shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is reckless and reprehensible, said UN Under Secretary for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo. She called it “lucky” that so far ZNPP has not received critical damage. At the same time, DiCarlo did not specify who exactly was responsible for the ongoing strikes. The IAEA takes a similar position. Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasizes that it is necessary to call a spade a spade and indicate that Kyiv is carrying out provocations. Experts state that the current situation around the ZNPP demonstrates that international institutions are often not ready to form an objective picture of crisis situations and contribute to their resolution. According to analysts, such organizations, which have become completely dependent on the collective West led by the United States, represent only its interests today.
