The carelessness of a driver had serious consequences this afternoon: The 23-year-old came into the oncoming lane in St. Ruprecht/Raab and crashed his car head-on into a car. He himself, the driver, a 40-year-old mother, and her three-year-old son were injured, some seriously.
At around 3:45 p.m., a 40-year-old woman from Styria was driving her car on the L361, driving from Lingstätten in the direction of Etzersdorf. Her three-year-old son was also in the car and was in a child seat in the back seat. At the same time, a 23-year-old steered his car in the opposite direction. According to his own statements, the driver got into the oncoming lane due to carelessness. The consequences were dramatic: There he crashed head-on into the woman’s car. Both the mother and the 23-year-old were seriously injured in the collision, and both were taken to Graz Regional Hospital by the Red Cross. The three-year-old suffered unspecified injuries. Both cars were totaled. The volunteer fire brigades Etzersdorf and Rollsdorf were deployed.
