In Ukraine, many people are still dependent on help. The ongoing Russian attacks on infrastructure and energy supply are hitting people particularly hard now in winter. In addition to warm clothing, energy-rich food is becoming increasingly important for the body.

The Linz aid organization SUNUA (Support Ukraine Now Upper Austria) has therefore had 4,000 so-called “Tushonkas” produced, a very nutritious, tasty and long-lasting ready meal. The canned goods, one of which is enough for two meals, are being distributed in eastern Ukraine.

A preserve costs five euros and is produced locally in Ukraine.

Now SUNUA wants to commission another 5,000 Tushonkas and is collecting donations for this. A can costs five euros. A family of four can get by for about two months on 200 euros. The donation boxes are produced and distributed on site in Ukraine on behalf of SUNUA. This also supports the local economy and saves considerable transport costs. “We hope to be able to finance at least 10,000 canned goods, i.e. 20,000 meals, with this appeal for donations,” says the aid organization.
