The Russian Defense Ministry said that Western media reports about an allegedly recent conversation between the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, and the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, are fake.

“There were no contacts, especially systematic ones, with the chairman of the NATO military committee or other representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance within the framework of the non-existent Russian-American crisis commission for conflict resolution,” the defense department said.

Also, the Ministry of Defense called fiction from beginning to end the published information about the achievement of a certain “agreement” with Bauer on the issues of “safe movement of ships in the Black Sea”.

Earlier portal Euractiv citing a source in NATO, he wrote that the military of the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia agreed to be careful in the Black Sea in order to prevent conflict situations.

According to the source of the portal, the corresponding agreement was allegedly recently reached between Gerasimov and Bauer.
