At the beginning of the month it was supposed to be released on Netflix ‘lookism‘, a South Korean anime series that would adapt the highly successful webtoon of Park Tae-joon. The was one of the most anticipated premieres of the fall season, but after the avalanches that occurred in Seoul during Halloween, Netflix decided to postpone the premiere until further notice.

We are still in the fall season

Studio Mir has been in charge of the animation of ‘lookism‘ after working with Netflix on ‘DOTA: Dragonborn’ and ‘The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare’. The South Korean studio joined the national mourning at the beginning of the month, so the original release date, which was scheduled to premiere on November 4, ended up being moved.

In the end ‘Lookism’ has not ended up being delayed much, because it goes to the December 8 and it still remains within the fall anime premieres.

The anime will premiere directly on Netflix and explores bullying and the importance of physical appearance in society. The protagonist is Park Hyung-seokwho is bullied by his peers because of his weight.

When he changes schools and moves to another city, he suddenly receives a new body with which he can exchange, leading a double life as a tall and handsome young man who is appreciated by everyone.
