The deputies approved a proposal of the Free amendment to the State Budget for 2023 that increases the annual income limit of self-employed workers exempt from VAT from the current 12,500 euros to 13,500 euros.

This VAT exemption covers taxpayers who do not have or are required to keep organized accounts for the purposes of the IRS or IRC, and who have not reached, in the previous calendar year, a turnover of more than 12,500 euros, a value that the Livre proposal increases now to 13,500 euros.

This limit of 13,500 euros for determining VAT exemption also applies to taxable persons with a turnover of more than 10,000 euros, but less than 13,500 euros, who, “if taxed, would fulfill the conditions for inclusion in the small retailers’ regime ” and those who, having not reached a turnover of more than 13,500 euros “in the previous calendar year and in the three preceding calendar years, have fulfilled the conditions” applicable and foreseen for self-employed workers.
