The final of the Social Security Cup in women’s football took place on Saturday November 19, 2022 in the presence of the Minister of Health and Social Development, Diéminatou Sangaré, on the synthetic pitch of the Institute of Political Sciences, International Relations and Communication (ISPRIC) on the “Hill of Knowledge”. The event recorded the presence of several officials of the four social security services in Mali. These include, among others, Ousmane Karim Coulibaly, Director General of INPS; Hameth Ben Hamane Traoré, Managing Director of ANAM; Ichaka Koné, Director General of CMSS; and Sériba Traoré, technical adviser at CANAM.
This final opposed the Malian Social Security Fund (CMSS) to the National Institute of Social Security (INPS). And it was the ladies of the CMSS who won the trophy for the grand final by dominating those of the INPS by 3-0. In raising the curtain, ladies from the National Health Insurance Fund (CANAM) beat (1-0) those from the National Agency for Medical Assistance (ANAM) in the small final.
“The initiative is beneficial and I encourage it. That the social security funds find themselves around sport is a good thing. This means that social security is moving forward and that Universal Health Insurance will be implemented under the best conditions.declared Minister Diéminatou Sangaré after the final whistle of this final. For her, this initiative is an important vector of peace, social cohesion, rapprochement and above all personal fulfillment and well-being. And to add that sport is also good for health. It is with this in mind that she thinks that all companies in Mali should follow this example.
After the closing of this women’s football tournament between the social security services of Mali, the Director General of the INPS, Mr. Ousmane Karim Coulibaly, said he was very satisfied in the same way as all the other officials. According to him, organizing a cup like that was not a given in advance. He affirms that the objective of this initiative is to favor more cohesion between the peoples of the social security.
The organization of this competition, he says, is an opportunity for the different social security services to get to know each other. These establishments, according to him, areone people responsible for promoting social security” in Mali. “We will succeed in this mission when we are united“, argued Mr. Ousmane Karim Coulibaly. “The best team has won and it is to be saluted“, suggested the DG of the INPS.
“We are delighted with the holding of this cup. There is no loser or winner. We really want to be together. We have a lot to do together“, assured the Director General of the CMSS after the presentation of the trophy. As for the Director General of the National Agency for Medical Assistance (ANAM), Hameth, Mr. Ben Hamane Traoré, it is the OPS who won. For him, the cohesion sought by the various social security services is acquired. It was the place for him to thank and congratulate the organizers of the various structures for the success of the initiative.
