Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the coordinating council for meeting the needs of the armed forces said that Russian servicemen participating in the war in Ukraine will be counted double the length of service for the appointment of insurance pensions. This is reported by “Interfax“.
“The length of service for the appointment of an insurance pension will be counted double. The same calculation will be applied when assigning an early pension, for example, for those who, before mobilization, worked in the Far North or in hazardous industries, ”the agency quotes the Prime Minister as saying.
The current version of the law on pensions says that workers whose professions are associated with harmful and difficult working conditions can retire early. In particular, this applies to miners, employees of emergency services or places of detention, as well as workers whose work is associated with radioactive substances or sources of ionizing radiation.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a number of decrees and laws on benefits for participants in hostilities. The last such law was signed on 21 November. According to it, all Russian volunteers who have been participating in the war since February 24, as well as members of the armed formations created in the annexed territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, from the moment they “join Russia”, are assigned the status of combat veterans, which implies a number of benefits and social support measures. .
