What is hair cycling?
Social media has already conquered the trend known as skin cycling, or a four-night routine, some time ago. In short, it can be said that for the first two nights, exfoliating agents and retinol are used on the skin of the face, and for the next two days there is a time of regeneration, nourishment and rest.
Since skin cycling was recognized as an effective way to care for the skin, it was only a matter of time before the trend was exploited for the benefit of hair. Hair cycling mimics the above care routine, allowing the cosmetics to work optimally for scalp health and hair strengthening.
Hair cycling was promoted by Kelsey Griffin, who shared her observations with TikTok users. Kelsey explained that she uses different types of shampoos and conditioners for her care, as she has yet to find the perfect cosmetics for her hair needs. Usually, she reaches for a cleansing shampoo, and with the next wash, for a regenerating one, which is supposed to repair, nourish and moisturize the strands.
The method proposed by Kelsey is very flexible and allows you to adjust its principles to individual needs. Everyone’s routine may look different, because it depends, among other things, on the type of hair, its condition and frequency of washing. At any time, individual cosmetics can be changed in accordance with the changing requirements of the hair.

First wash in the cycle:
Wash your hair twice. In the first wash, reach for one gentle cleansing product for the scalp. However, avoid reaching for scrubs that can irritate the skin and cause inflammation. For the second wash, use a different cleansing shampoo. The first time you remove dirt, and the second time you clean the scalp in depth, which will facilitate the absorption of nutrients by it. Follow with a highly moisturizing conditioner. Finally, reach for a regenerating serum that supports hair growth, and a moisturizing hair oil that will add shine.
Second wash in the cycle:
Since the first wash of the cycle focused on cleansing the hair, the second is to use a moisturizing shampoo to restore moisture and shine to the strands.
