In Brazil presidential elections were held Lula Da Silva won for the Workers’ Party (PT). However, the current president Jair Bolsonaro He did not acknowledge defeat and denounced that there was fraud against him. Such is the case that the leader of the Liberal Party (PL) took a few days to gather information and complain to the court.

The president asked the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) for the vote annulment in some electronic ballot boxes, used during the second round of the elections in that country. Total, irregularities were recorded in 279,336 ballot boxes on October 30 and thus requested the annulment of the votes that were made on the models from 2009 to 2011, 2013 and 2015.

An independent audit found evidence of some flaws in those ballot boxes, which they did not have an individual identification code. This justification has an important weight to request the annulment. From the PL they detected that the ballot boxes in which Lula Da Silva won with a wide difference were manufactured before 2020 in the aforementioned years.

In the case of ballot boxes after 2020, the audit tested a “full certification” with a result that would give Bolsonaro the advantage over 51% of the votes. However, in Brazil Lula Da Silva reached 50.9%, which marks a trend of almost two points that would be decisive when choosing the new president.
