The DRX lineup achieved the unthinkable at Worlds 2022, as after being promoted from the Play-In they managed to be crowned champions of the international contest by beating T1 3-2. Although many expected the entire team to stick together to see if they can achieve the same feat in 2023, this apparently will not be the case, since the organization confirmed that all 5 starters have become free agents after concluding their respective contracts.

All 5 starting DRX players are now free agents

Through Twitter, DRX confirmed that the top five players in the roster who managed to conquer Worlds 2022 have concluded their contracts and become free agents. However, the organization still maintains the hope of being able to renew all the contracts of the players:

DRX announces that the contracts with Hwang «Kingen» Sung-Hoon, Hong «Pyosik» Chang-Hyun, Kim «Zeka» Geon-Woo, Kim «Deft» Hyeok-Gyu, Jo «BeryL» Geon-Hee have expired. (…)

DRX will contact them to try to renew their contracts.

Let’s remember that after winning Worlds 2022, it is normal for these players to rise in value within the transfer market and they may be receiving quite relevant offers from all League of Legends teams. However, it is uncertain that DRX, despite its interests, will be able to renew its contracts.
