“The first step in the process is the filing of an appeal brief by WADA, which must be done within ten days of the deadline. Defendants will then have 20 days from the date of receipt of the summary of the appeal to file their response, ”Then24 quoted a CAS representative as saying.
It also states that the deadlines can be extended by agreement of the parties.
On November 14, WADA demanded that CAS suspend Valieva for four years and annul the results of the Olympics.
During the Beijing Olympics, at the end of the team tournament, it became known that the doping test of the figure skater on December 25, 2021 gave a positive result for trimetazidine.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, said that the organization would become a party to the lawsuit if Valiyeva was disqualified by CAS and her results from the Beijing Olympics were annulled.
