Taretan, Michoacán.- A spectacular accident was recorded on the Siglo XXI highway, two private vehicles collided head-on, leaving at least eight people injured, part of the accident was shown through a video.

According to a report from the Michoacán SICT Center, the mishap occurred at kilometer 107.5 of the Uruapan-Nueva Italia highway section, in the municipality of Taretan, last Sunday afternoon.

Some motorists who were circulating on the site decided to stop to help the injured, while the authorities and rescue teams arrived.

Other curious people decided to capture the tragedy on video, the videos of the accident are already circulating on social networks, showing the wrecked cars and the injured people.

A short time later, lifeguards arrived at the scene of the accident, who stabilized the injured, who were also transferred to nearby hospitals for proper care of their injuries.

There were two private cars that were involved in the spectacular accident, one lead-colored and the other cherry, both were left with the front destroyed.

SICT Michoacán asked motorists who were circulating in the area to pay attention to the road signs and take alternate circulation with caution, since the road was closed during the cleaning and aid work for the injured.

In the video broadcast on social networks you can see at least four injured people lying on the asphalt and one more in the gutter next to the traffic lane.
