In the summer of 2021, a 54-year-old woman from Klagenfurt started a drug ring to finance her own drug use. She also used her then 17-year-old son for this.
“The woman worked as an organizer, courier and bunker keeper of illegal drugs,” explains a police officer. “Her son and an 18-year-old friend then sold the cannabis to various end customers.” In 2022 alone by mid-September, the woman had bought almost four and a half kilos of herbal cannabis for almost 35,000 euros from a dealer, who has since been arrested himself. “The two young men were mainly active in Klagenfurt, where they sold almost two kilos with a street value of around 19,000 euros,” the police continued. “Unfortunately, the buyers were minors, some of whom were only 14 years old.” The handover of the drugs to the teenagers was agreed exclusively via the social media app Snapchat. When searching the car and the apartment of the 54-year-old from Klagenfurt, the police found cannabis worth 1100 euros, 735 euros in cash, several mobile phones and some narcotic paraphernalia.
