No sooner have the pumpkins and spooky costumes been put away than the Christmas season begins. Forgotten sweets, spells and other skull make-up, make way for Christmas trees, garlands, toy catalogs, calls to Santa Claus and hot chocolates by the fire or heating for the luckiest of the end of year! While waiting for the passage of the most awaited man each month of December, Paris has adorned itself with its most beautiful lights to immerse itself in the Christmas magic that everyone really needs right now.

It has become a tradition: every year, Anne Hidalgo is accompanied by a celebrity to give her a hand and light up the most beautiful avenue in the world as Christmas approaches, the Champs-Elysées. After Beth Dito, Karl Lagerfeld, Lily-Rose Depp, Jessica Chastain, Louane or Clara Luciani last year, it was the turn of a great actor Tahar Rahim to be asked by the town hall of Paris to come and assist Anne Hidalgo on the event. The actor, father of three children born from his marriage to Leïla Bekhti, was quick to honor the invitation.

A big show on the Champs-Elysées

This Sunday, November 20, Tahar Rahim, gray sweatshirt and big coat on his back, appeared all smiles and a mischievous look alongside the mayor of Paris for this magical moment full of magic. It must be said that it is not every day that we have the opportunity to illuminate the most beautiful avenue in the world with the help of a simple button. If he was not accompanied by his darling, he was no less well surrounded for all that.

In addition to Anne Hidalgo, Tahar Rahim was able to count on the presence of Jeanne d’Hauteserre, mayor of the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Marc-Antoine Jamet, president of the Champs-Elysées committee, Christopher de Lapuente. The group counted down before seeing a multitude of confetti explode and observing all the golden lights adorning the avenue leading to the Arc de Triomphe for a few weeks. A luminous evening that gave heart balm to all the spectators!
