Passions around the Moscow Art Theater flared up serious. Many artists spoke out about Buzova’s unprofessionalism. This opinion was also shared by Vladimir Kekhman, who, having assumed the post of director of the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky (and having fired artistic director Eduard Boyakov – approx. ed.), immediately got rid of this production.
“The collection of performances of the Moscow Art Theater should be diverse. But their level should not slide down to Buzova – the apotheosis of vulgarity and abomination, which turned out to be on this serious stage, ”he was indignant.
The head noted that the involvement of the presenter in the production did not bring the expected profit. “When I came here, 220 tickets were sold to the performance where Buzova played in a hall with 1380 seats. If one idiot bought a ticket for 50 thousand – then what, for the sake of this, to keep the production in the repertoire? Funny! This is all cheap PR for Boyakov,” Kekhman is convinced.
