Jack Grealish scored England’s sixth goal against Iran on Monday. The Manchester City midfielder celebrated that goal with a striking dance, something he had promised to young Finlay (11), a boy who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Grealish met Finlay this month as part of the City in the Community organization. Finlay had written a letter to the English footballer expressing his admiration for Grealish, whose sister Hollie suffers from the same developmental disability.
“You are my hero and the best big brother to your sister,” wrote Finlay, who was also able to meet his idol. At that meeting, Grealish promised that Finlay could choose how to celebrate his next goal for England. And so it happened.
