The boy got to know Grealish after he shared a video of his sister, who also has cerebral palsy.

Jack Grealish, author of the sixth goal this Monday in the 6-2 defeat against Iran in the debut of both teams in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, fulfilled the promise he made several weeks ago to an eleven-year-old boy and celebrated the goal of the same way as agreed.

Grealish met Finlay months ago, an eleven-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and a Manchester City fan, who asked him if he scored in the World Cup, to celebrate it in a specific way.

He asked him to wave his arms, and when Grealish scored England’s sixth goal, after receiving a generous assist from Callum Wilson, he looked into the camera and mimicked the celebration.

Later, in a post on social networks, Grealish shared the video of when they met and accompanied it with the text “For you, Finlay”, completing this beautiful story.

The boy got to know Grealish after he shared a video of his sister, who also has cerebral palsy.

“We are very close,” said the footballer. “He was born prematurely and the doctors said he couldn’t talk or walk. And here he is today, he can do everything,” he added.

Finlay wrote to Grealish, after hearing him talk about his sister like that, and told him that he was very happy that a famous footballer knew what it was like to live like them.

He asked to meet him and the meeting finally took place at the Manchester City training center, where Grealish gave him a shirt and asked him to celebrate the goal with the wave.
