This Monday, FC Porto returned to training at the Olival training center, after a week off, in a session without Evanilson, Meixedo and Zaidu, injured, and Veron in conditioned training.

The ‘dragons’ are preparing their debut on Friday in the League Cup, in which they will face Mafra, 12th in the II League, at Estádio do Dragão, in a game of the first round of group A, starting at 20:45.

After the victory in the championship at Boavista’s home (4-1), Sérgio Conceição took the opportunity to give the squad a short vacation, in a phase of stoppage in the championship, with the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and before the League Cup.

In today’s session, without the internationals in the selections, namely Diogo Costa, Pepe and Otávio (Portugal), Marko Grujic (Serbia), Eustáquio (Canada) and Mehdi Taremi (Iran), the coach of the ‘dragons’ relied on Roko Runje, Abraham Marcus and Wendel Silva, players of the B team.

In the League Cup, whose group stage will take place simultaneously with the World Cup and, therefore, without the internationals, FC Porto is part of group A, with Mafra, who will face Desportivo de Chaves on Friday, in 08 of December, and Vizela, on the 16th.
