The 27-year-old is said to have set fire to boxes in the Salzburg slaughterhouse on September 4th, causing a devastating fire. According to Neher, the fire caused damage of around ten million euros. The accused denies the allegations Not only that: According to the indictment, which is not final, the 27-year-old is said to have set several fires weeks earlier. In detail, it is about the lighting of an ÖBB container, boxes from a fashion company and also garbage at a collection point in Salzburg. He himself denies the allegations. A possible motive is provided by an expert opinion: According to this, the mentally handicapped 27-year-old is a pyromaniac – i.e. a person who sets fires purely out of fascination. Therefore, in addition to a sentence, the authorities also applied for admission to an institution for mentally abnormal and responsible criminals.
