Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, expressed the opinion that cars could become cheaper if the Russian market is saturated.

The reduction in imports to Russia of foreign brands of cars has led to an increase in the cost of those that remained on the market, he said in an interview with radio Sputnik.

“The main and only factor that can lead to a decrease in car prices in Russia is market saturation. Last year, Russians bought 1,670,000 new cars – this is our benchmark. This year, at best, we will reach 800,000. We have a shortage of new cars of 1 million units. The market is not saturated. Until saturation occurs, prices will not be seriously dropped, ”Kadakov noted.

Earlier, Oleg Moseev, head of the Automarketologist project, in an interview with NSN commented on the situation with car sales.
