“Until recently, sport was out of politics. And now there is such a situation that talented Russian athletes are hostages of socio-political problems between states. Hopes, plans and colossal efforts are reduced to zero, faith in the justice of the main principles of Olympism is lost. We are confident that athletes should compete with worthy opponents, because this is the main thing for the development of sports,” the official statement of the Union says.

Why did it happen so?

The International MMA Federation has deprived Russia of the right to participate in all international competitions this spring. It is worth noting that IMMAF President Kerrit Brown has always been on good terms with the former head of the Union, Radmir Gabdullin, but this did not prevent him from making a political decision regarding our team.

After Emelianenko’s appeal, nothing has changed:

“While we are not allowed to compete, we asked a question. The IMMAF meeting will be held in December, where they will discuss the admission of our athletes,” Emelianenko said.

Maybe you don’t need to ask anyone, but you need to do your own? To ask those who sent us … Very noble!

It’s easier to create your own Federation, it’s not a secret for anyone that the IMMAF is a soap bubble, and we keep knocking on it… By the way, they won’t let them in anymore, they didn’t get citizenship, but keep asking.
