You are currently viewing “Fernsehgarten”: ZDF provides clarity – ER replaces Andrea Kiewel for the time being

The “TV Garden” on ZDF is part of the regular Sunday program for many, like the “Tatort” on ARD. In focus: ZDF presenter Andrea Kiewel, who presents new guests on her show every week.

The problem: The ZDF “Fernsehgarten” is only broadcast seasonally. Means, at some point there will be an end to pop songs, cooking and kiwi. However, this does not mean that the slot on ZDF will remain empty. A look at the program reveals that there is a top-class replacement.

“TV Garden” is replaced by “Bares for Rares”.

Normally it starts at 11.50 a.m. on ZDF with the “Fernsehgarten”, but that’s the end of it for now. The station is now showing “Bares for Rares” from 12:25 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. ZDF viewers can switch on the junk show with moderator Horst Lichter every Monday to Friday at 3:05 p.m.

Now there are dealers, experts and all sorts of rarities on TV on Sundays too. With the former professional chef, who is now mainly seen as a presenter on TV, ZDF has probably found a good balance for the entertainment format.

“Fernsehgarten” paused: Horst Lichter takes over

When the “Fernsehgarten” normally ends, ZDF now continues from 2:10 p.m. with a new episode “Bares for Rares – Händlerstücke”. The concept of the spin-off series is very different from the normal show. The focus here is not on the trade, but on the process after the purchase. At “Handler’s Pieces” viewers can see what happens to the rarities purchased from the dealers after the show.

More topics:

While some objects have to be worked up again at great expense, others only require a few hand movements. In the show, viewers not only see the amount of work required, but also learn how high the costs are in post-production.

The show also makes dealers more approachable, allows them to look at their cards and give insights into their negotiation strategies.

The current episodes of the ZDF “Fernsehgarten” and “Bares für Rares” are also available online in the media library.
