Elements of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI) of Mexico City arrested a subject in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office, who allegedly assaulted his partner and had possession of several doses of probable drugs.

The policemen belonging to the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) were patrolling in the San Juan neighborhood of said mayor’s office, when they observed that, at the intersection of Patriotismo Avenue and Rubens Street, a man with visible bloodstains on his neck handled various packages similar to those used for the distribution of narcotics.

According to reports from the CDMX Attorney General’s Office, to rule out a probable criminal act, the police officers carried out a preventive review, after which they secured 16 transparent bags containing probable drugs, a cell phone and a set of keys.

When questioning him about the injuries he presented, the possible person involved mentioned that after assaulting his partner at an address located in the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, he self-injuredso they called the emergency services.

For this reason, Civil Protection paramedics who attended the emergency diagnosed the probable 26-year-old responsible with injury due to neck cut on the left side and chest, for which he was transferred to a hospital for specialized care.

Likewise, sectoral police officers went to the address indicated by the detainee, in the Atlamaya neighborhood, where they located the young woman, who had various injuries with a sharp weapon to the face and neck, for which she was transferred to a hospital.

Due to these facts, the 26-year-old man was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, who will determine his legal situation and initiate the corresponding investigations.
