This Saturday at 8:00 p.m., the Oklahoma City Thunder will be visiting the American Airlines Center to face some Dallas Mavericks They want to start finding a balance in their campaign.

Last season the Mavericks took three of their four meetings with the Thunder, part of a dominance that has seen them win seven of their last 10 meetings with each other.

The Thunder have managed to somewhat overcome a four-game losing streak by winning their last two games, thus coming into this match with a 2-4 record, however, they will now be looking for their first win of the year away from home, where for now they have a record of 0-2. The Thunder come in here averaging 111.4 points allowed and scored, though they’ve looked much better on offense recently with the return to the lineup of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Oklahoma City team unexpectedly took advantage of a small series of two games in a row against the Los Angeles Clippers to reap their two wins of the season, including in their most recent appearance by a score of 110-118, with a Gilgeous-Alexander who contributed 24 points and 6 assists, followed by a Luguentz Dort who recorded another 21 goals. Josh Giddey, Jalen Williams Y Chet Holmgren will be the casualties for the Thunder in this game.

According to Sportium, the odds for the Thunder to win are:

Unlike its rival, the Mavericks They arrive with a better record of 2 wins and 2 losses, however, it has not been a team that has had much left over so far, in fact, their two victories have come against teams that had been playing on consecutive nights, something that clearly had an impact on the final result. The Mavericks have not displayed their best defensive version this season, however, they have been much more solid offensively, being the second best in the league in that aspect with an average of 120.5 points scored per game.

After losing to the Pelicans, the Mavericks capped off a two-game road trip by visiting the Brooklyn Nets, who put up much more of a fight than expected, in a game that went into overtime, where the Mavericks won 129- 125, and which had as its best player a Luka Doncić he recorded 41 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds. The Mavs will have to deal today with the absences of Josh Green, Frank Ntilikina Y Davis Bertans.

According to gainblers, in nba betting the odds for the Mavericks win is:

The Dallas Mavericks are on paper a much superior team in this game, however, the season is still beginning and they have not been able to show their best performance, unlike the Oklahoma City Thunder, which, although they have a negative record, have been much more competitive than expected, and the return of Gilgeous-Alexander has been a notable plus for their offense.

So while I expect the Mavericks to be the ones to win, I think the best option this time around is to trust the Oklahoma City Thunder to cover a +12 point Asian handicap.
