Analysts warn that, during the next year, Mexico will face the largest increase in inflation of recent times, which will continue to weaken the battered family economy, while job creation will continue to show a slow recovery that it will be very far, even, from returning to the previous levels of 2021.
Faced with this difficult scenario, the Expenditure Budget of the Federation (PEF) for the coming year cannot and should not be inertial, that is, ignore that the working class economy It will suffer severe blows without government planning to reduce its effects or contemplate support for those who need it most.
For this reason, the Institutional Revolutionary Party in the Chamber of Deputies, under the coordination of deputy Rubén Moreira Valdez, has proposed rethinking the centralist project of PEF 2023 sent by the Federal Executive Power, since strong increases are requested to attend to the government works but not to promote the reactivation of the economies of the States and Municipalities, as well as the development of infrastructure works that improve public services in health, education and security.
It is urgent that, through public policies based on a responsible exercise of public resources, the federal government responds, now and not as in the pandemic, effectively and timely to the needs of the population.
To do this, the PRI is proposing to reactivate public financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), knowing that 7 out of 10 formal jobs in our country are generated in them, while reducing taxes through the “Card Fiscal”, which would be an incentive to keep jobs and comply on time with the obligations before the State.
The Morena government cannot leave Mexican MSMEs vulnerable again, as happened during the pandemic with the tragic consequences that we all already know.
It is time to reactivate the regional economies through intensive public investment, while turning the government action to the Municipalities, which have pretended to be unknown by the Morena government through the disappearance of items and funds dedicated to them. .

Mexico is heading into a very difficult economic and social year, marked by the growth of poverty, famine, insecurity, impunity and corruption, and the PRI is proposing the necessary tools to face it and get ahead. We hope that in the majority caucus there is sensitivity and the will to listen, correct and approve a budget that does serve Mexicans. It’s time.
