A 63-year-old suffered more than a thousand euros in damage in Kirchdorf in Tirol. A stranger had stolen his wallet on Thursday and cleared it out. Although he did not go unnoticed during the crime, the thief was able to escape.

A 32-year-old local noticed late Thursday afternoon how the man cleared out the money bag in front of a residential building in Kirchdorf and then threw it into a stream before driving off in a white car with German license plates in the direction of Kössen. The witness reported the incident, but an immediately initiated search by several police patrols was unsuccessful. Owner reported to policeThe owner of the purse did not report until the next day. The Austrian (63) told the police that his wallet had apparently been stolen from his shop in Kirchdorf in an unobserved moment. In fact, it was the bag found the day before. The theft resulted in damage of more than a thousand euros to the victim.
