The former president of the United States donald trump said he’s glad that Twitter inc. be in “safe hands” after Elon Musk formally took control, but he did not indicate whether he will return to his account on the platform that vetoed him.

Trump claimed that he thinks his own Truth social media platform “looks and works better.” “I LOVE THE TRUTH,” the former president wrote in a post on his platform.

Trump was banned from Twitter following the January 6, 2021 assault on the United States Capitol. Musk has said he will restore the former president’s account, but the former president has previously said he would not return.

The former president, currently involved in several court cases, considers that Twitter “is no longer run by radical and maniacal leftist lunatics who hate our country.”

Twitter -added the tycoon- “you must act now to free yourself from all the bots and false accounts that have damaged it so much. It will be smaller (in users) but it will be better.”

The new owner of Twitter he has made it clear on multiple occasions that he wants to open the doors of the network to a broader range of opinions, and has hinted that Trump would be welcome on it, but the former president has always been noncommittal about it.
