Yemen and Gaza have long been besieged and starved. The USA is trying to impose its worldview on the states in the Middle East through sanctions and military interventions. In his keynote speech, Putin criticizes sieges and coups in non-Western countries by the West.

In a keynote speech at the annual Valdai Club meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of denying others the right to exist. Putin’s speech on Thursday drew attention from the “Axis of the Resistance” media, which seeks to offer alternative coverage to the Western narrative on the Middle East conflict.

“Putin warns the West: Whoever sows the wind will reap the hurricane,” the news channel voted Al Mayadeen as a headline for his report on Putin’s speech. The Russian President stressed that the West sees billions of people striving for freedom as a threat to the liberal order and therefore carries out sieges and coups in non-Western countries, citing Al Mayadeen Putin.

The Russian President also took the view that the West suffers from “meta-blindness” and imagines that all regions must develop to its level Al Mayadeen Putin again. The West has nothing to offer the world but its domination, Putin said. The new world order that Putin spoke of in his speech is based on respect for the differences between peoples.

PressTV focused his report on Putin’s outlook on the West’s attempt at dominance. The President condemned the West for instigating the war and pursuing a “dangerous, bloody and dirty” geopolitical game that is sowing chaos around the world. Despite its quest for world dominance, the West is in decline, Putin said.

Tasnim News, which is close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, devoted its coverage of Putin’s speech to condemning the US assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. Putin reminded that killing Soleimani was a crime. The Russian President stated on Thursday that Soleimani was an official of his country, no matter how you feel about him. Putin said: “He was killed in a third country.” US authorities had officially claimed responsibility for his assassination, Putin said. “What kind of world do we live in?” Putin asked critically.
